Community Assistance Fund
Looking for a Grant?
Each year, the Community Assistance Fund (CAF) of the Junior League of Denver (JLD) supports local nonprofit organizations with grant dollars. A committee of Junior League members reviews grant requests and makes a recommendation to our Board of Directors. This year the CAF will award a total of $20,000 to qualified nonprofit agencies in the seven county Metro Denver community.
Nonprofit organizations that meet the Junior League’s grant guidelines are invited to submit a Concept Letter describing how the grant money would be used. The CAF committee will review the concept letters and invite a number of finalists to submit a full proposal.
To qualify for a grant:
• Your agency must support the Junior League of Denver’s focus of improving the community through the health and education of women and children.
• The grant must be used for the benefit of the Metro Denver community.
• Your agency must demonstrate a commitment to volunteerism.
• Applicants must have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS.
• Your agency must have a local board of directors.
• Your agency must have a non-discrimination policy.
• If any JLD member is involved with your agency, both the agency and the member must contact the chairs of the CAF Committee. A JLD member who has a potential conflict of interest will remove herself from discussion and voting related to the JLD CAF grant and the member will complete a JLD Conflict of Interest form to be filed with the JLD Bylaws chair.
